This week is Harmony Week and on Wednesday we had a wonderful day celebrating Harmony
Day at St Paul's. Harmony Week is a time to celebrate multiculturalism and the diversity
that exists in our school, community and across our nation. Students will learn more
about Harmony Week in their classes throughout the week.
Brisbane Catholic Education's 77,000 students come from more than 145 countries and
speak 155 different languages. St Paul's has students who speak 40 different
languages. I’m proud to work with an organisation that values inclusiveness, respect
and belonging regardless of cultural or linguistic backgrounds.
Traditionally, orange signifies social communication and meaningful conversations, and
relates to the freedom of ideas and encouragement of mutual respect. Orange is the
colour chosen to represent Harmony Week.
Thank you to our wonderful staff and families who contributed to the success of today. Check out our Facebook page for photos of our celebrations.
