Music at St Paul's

In 2020 we have expanded our delivery of music lessons for students across the school. We have enlisted the services of Creative Kidz Onstage and they will be delivering a range of music experiences for St Paul’s students. I have detailed the music lessons offered below:

  1. Year 3 Music Emersion Program – ALL year 3 students will be participating in small group musical instrument lessons in 2020. Year 3 students will learn a new instrument each term in 2020. They will learn, drums, guitar, vocal and keyboard. 30 minute Year 3 lessons will take place on a Friday (starting 14th February). An information letter will be going home to Year 3 parents this week.

  2. Djembe/African Drum Group – Our African drumming group has been a great success over the years and it will continue in 2020. This group of Year 4, 5 and 6 students will take place after school on a Thursday afternoon.

  3. St Paul’s Drum Line – Our marching drum group started in 2019 and it will grow and become even stronger in 2020. This percussion group of Year 4, 5 ,6 students will take place at 2:00pm on a Thursday afternoon.

  4. Small group instrumental music lessons – guitar or keyboards. These lessons will take place at 1:25pm to 1:55 or 3:00pm to 4:00pm each Friday. These groups will have between 4 and 8 students in them. These lessons are set up as a user pays arrangement and are discounted. User pay lessons will cost parents $160 per term. (Approx. $20 per lesson) An expression of interest note will be sent home on Friday this week
